North UX is seeking an experienced front-end developer familiar with WordPress to expand our project capacity. This is a part-time contract position through April of 2018. Possibility of longer-term work TBD.

We focus on marketing technology projects and achieve client goals by developing public facing websites. The projects are often, but not exclusively, developed in WordPress. Familiarity with the WordPress admin interface and common template functions is required. Our WordPress projects deliver unique themes built from a skeleton theme framework, alongside custom plugins to provide UX and site functionality not typically available through off-the-shelf WordPress products.

You will be expected to work alongside other developers and clearly communicate progress, as well as track work through Git. Additional project management tools include Asana, Harvest, Forecast and Slack.

North UX
North UX is a small but growing marketing technology agency. We cultivate user engagement and grow brands by delivering unique technology solutions. We pride ourselves on clear communication and candid conversations that move projects forward and deliver measurable results. We are intentional in our own growth and strive to build a company environment that is passionate about people. Based in Kansas City, we work remotely, and currently have developers in the US and Europe.

We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated and has experience working remotely. The best fit will be:

A Problem Solver – You have a hard time letting go of a problem that presents itself. You live to not only find a solution, but to explore it from all angles and deliver the most efficient and effective solution possible.

Detail Oriented – You are driven towards pixel perfect design execution, and notice when consistency of margins or typography seems “off”

Communicative – You err on the side of saying too much instead of saying too little.

Knows Own Limits – You aren’t afraid to say “I don’t know” or “I don’t have time,” but in doing so also have a solution oriented attitude.

Perpetual Learner – You are always learning new things and keeping up to date on the ever-changing world of web technology.

Punctual – You deliver assignments on time and within budget.
