About the role

We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our team. What does that mean at Content Journey?

You’re an excellent communicator who can confidently and effectively express yourself both verbally and in writing. You are savvy with social media or at least know your way around it. The idea of engaging with clients to capture their voices in ways that resonate with their audience excites you.

You’re a team player ready to help us achieve our goals. You’ll be a part of our Operations Team and provide support to the Leadership Team. Flexibility and a bend towards finding solutions are ideal.

A background in social media, marketing, or writing isn’t necessary, but a desire to learn and strong organizational skills are essential. We're looking to see that you are an empathic and creative thinker who is excited to share your talents for the betterment of both our team and our clients.

Consider these questions: Do you enjoy engaging on Zoom calls often? Do you value listening? Are you able to reframe challenges in communication as opportunities to connect? Are you comfortable with critique and opposing opinions? Do you value the power of good storytelling? Are you able to work independently and ask for help when needed? You can expect to:

  • Create content calendars
  • Create graphics for social media, lead magnets, and other marketing materials
  • Create compelling copy for social media, newsletters and email campaigns
  • Create content briefs
  • Manage client newsletters and email communications
  • Provide recaps of marketing initiatives
  • Communicate with the writing team, operations team, leadership team and clients
  • Assist with graphic project requests, timeline management, and creative reviews
  • Perform various administrative support tasks, including assisting with client meetings, follow-up tasks, editorial, and scheduling of social media posts
  • Attend meetings and participate in brainstorming sessions
  • Be reliable in completing projects on time
  • Respond to and consolidate multiple edits and points of feedback on your content

$42K | Full Time

  • Attention to detail and desire to follow a project through to completion
  • Strong social skills with excellent oral and written communication
  • Excellent grammar and writing skills
  • Self-starter who is also comfortable with team environment collaboration
  • Positive demeanor toward others, upholding an environment of respect and inclusion
  • Ability to prioritize projects efficiently and work independently to complete tasks
  • Proven organization and time management skills
  • Proficient with Google Docs and ability to learn other software applications
