Rocketgenius is looking for a part-time remote Social Media Coordinator to help us implement our organic social media strategy to drive optimal reach and engagement and reach new audiences.

Gravity Forms is a WordPress plugin used originally for contact forms, and has continued to grow into a solution that allows site owners to create forms to collect information, create custom workflows, and build ecommerce solutions. Gravity Forms can be used for forms, WordPress post creation, calculations, accepting online payments, employment applications, and much more. Gravity Forms is a software solution built by the team at Rocketgenius.

Our team is searching for a Social Media / Digital Content Coordinator to support our (organic) social media efforts and the implementation of Rocketgenius’ content strategy across our social channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter). This will be a brand new role that will bring Rocketgenius’ social media game to the next level. This role will be a Contract role, up to 30 hours per week.

You will be responsible for each of our brand’s social media content and collaborating with other channels across the Marketing team to bring our campaigns and brand vision to life. In addition to contributing to the content strategy and engaging with our customers, fans and followers, you will also be supporting the operations of our YouTube presence (for Gravity Forms and Input).

Relocation is not necessary, as we consider your geographic location a non-issue, and you will work remote from your location (wherever that may be). Hours are flexible based on your time zone requirements.

What You’ll Do

  • Make Rocketgenius ‘Instagram famous’. You’ll be tasked with implementing our organic social media strategy to drive optimal reach and engagement, reach new audiences, and communicate what makes our product ecosystem and community different from any other WP product brand.
  • Learning our audience inside out. You’ll support and contribute to all analysis and reporting to understand our social media audience and deliver value to them through our content, as well as demonstrating organic social media’s contribution toward marketing objectives.
  • Ensuring we’re presenting a united front to the world. You’ll be working closely with other channel leads to plan campaigns as part of a larger communications strategy, as well as collaborating with our
  • Marketing team on integrated campaigns.
  • It will be up to you to ensure we’re constantly looking to implement and improve best practices over time.
  • Our YouTube presence is a key part of our strategy and you’ll be helping us deliver great content by assisting in the production process (guest administration, premieres, comment moderation, etc.).

 

Is This You?

  • You have a passion to create social media campaigns and increase social engagement on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Minimum 1-2 years professional experience in social media and/or content marketing.
  • Experience copywriting and producing written content for web, social media, and/or blogs.
  • Experience managing social media platforms using social media management software, such as HootSuite, HubSpot, Iconosquare, Later, or similar.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Current on social media and content marketing best practices and techniques for creating effective and engaging web content.
  • Excellent understanding of technology or aptitude for and interest in learning new technologies, tools, and software.
  • Proficiency with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
  • Flexible working outside 9-5 hours to accommodate the needs of social media (of course, we make sure you get back any time worked out of hours).
  • Visual design and proficiency with PhotoShop, Figma, Canva, or similar, an asset.
  • Video editing software experience also an asset.

 

Bonus Points

  • You’ve already figured out solutions to the challenges of remote working.
  • You have a super solid grasp of WordPress and Gravity Forms, what they are and how to use them.
  • Experience working on social content for another high-profile WordPress theme or plugin.
  • Fluent in multiple languages.
