Pagelines just released their “DMS” (Design Management System). A couple of reviews have already popped up. I’d start here with Leland’s at ThemeLab. Of course, you may want to first ask yourself whether you need a drag and drop theme to start with. : )

We have been using DMS for a month+….. very limited options and tons of mistakes. A lot of hype over nothing
We find DMS great. Loads of options. ‘less is more’ is a winner here. we can set up sites in no time at all and each one unique.
I was really looking forward to the release of DMS – the build-up to the big moment was expertly orchestrated -Applesque!- but the product itself – ugh, not so much. The front end editor, while nice in theory, is a mine field of plugins and idiosyncratic navigation that makes one yearn for a piece of wood upon which to bite down while summoning the will to get it right.
I think the folks at PageLines are visionaries but I hope this product doesn’t satisfy whatever vision they had for this product. In time, perhaps the user experience won’t be so god awful and the successful delivery of the ‘DMS’ concept just might usher in the end of the theme era. More likely tough, with others heading in a similar direction, some other creative outfit will don the crown of the achievement.
