I run Spigot Design, a small web studio in Park City, Utah. I also started Cinch, a WordPress focused maintenance and security service.

Trained as a graphic designer in the early 2000's I quickly transitioned to designing for the web. At the time Flash was all the rage so I dabbled in ActionScript and fancy animations. Thankfully that didn't last too long and I found a couple of books on html and css and started coding up static websites.

Next came a little bit of PHP and the discovery of the include function! What, I don't need to add the navigation on every single file??? From there I tested out the different CMS's available: Drupal, Zen Cart, Expression Engine – and then WordPress. WordPress was so much easier for a designer to understand and use, I dropped all else and was hooked.
