A Day of REST — a conference devoted to the WordPress REST API
A Day of REST is an event devoted to the WordPress REST API. It’ll happen on January 28th 2016, with a follow-on hack day on the 29th, in London. It’s an exciting opportunity for developers to learn how to interact with the new WordPress REST API, and Post Status will be an official partner.
Ideas for small improvements to the new Distraction-Free Writing
Distraction-Free Writing in WordPress changed in 4.1. It’s now an extension of the regular post editor, and it’s had some critics and resistance (like all new WordPress features). I took some of the complaints to see if they could be integrated into the DFW editor to make the feature better.
A new look and a new domain
The new Post Status design is an alpha, but I wanted to show readers as soon as I could. Also, the site has a new domain and utilizes HTTPS everywhere. A lot has gone into it so far, and there is much left to do.
