The thought of a single person being responsible for such a popular and important plugin is both inspiring and terrifying. For one, it goes to show how amazing Elliot Condon is. How many people could possibly pull that off so well for 10 years?
But there definitely is a concern that, should something happen in the developer’s life, that the plugin could fall by the wayside. ACF is simply too important to so many websites to let that happen.
There is a bit more security in knowing that it’s in the hands of an established company now. Still, I have to think Elliot’s influence will be missed.
