  1. Thanks so much for the interview, Brian! Really appreciated chatting with you. Obviously, Dan and I are super excited about the short-term goals and roadmap for WP eCommerce. But as you pointed out so eloquently, we’re in this for the long game. As much as my mind is taken with what the next 24-36 months hold, I’m looking forward even more to the next 5, 10 and 20 years.

The mission of WP eCommerce is to democratize selling on the web, and that’s a mission that lives longer than business models or the new plugin du jour. We’re honored these days to be joined in this space by some of the smartest minds in WordPress, like Pippin at EDD and the whole team at iThemes.

    Thanks again, Brian!

  2. Great post Brian. When I first found WordPress and started working with it, WP Ecommerce was the first plugin I jumped into. I did a lot of support and development around that plugin way back when.

Dan was responsible for launching me into the WordPress community by sending me to numerous WordCamps – and the rest they say is history.

Lots of respect for Dan and Justin both – this plugin will always hold a special place for me.

  3. Exciting to see where WP Ecommerce is going in the future. Iā€™ve built a few themes for WP Ecommerce I can say that I would have been one of the individuals who lowered their hands in the past, but now I am ready to play with the new theme engine.

Kudos to Dan & Justin on this venture.
