analytics.usa.gov is a visually appealing site where data (like top searches, top browsers, etc.) is gathered from 5,000 US government websites and displayed. It’s was interesting to see where IE and Safari ranked, and that USPS is consistently the top site for active visitors.
The software that runs the site is open source, and the company behind it (18F) explains how it was built. It’s not new, but it’s making the rounds again and I thought it was interesting to share. Jeremy Felt implemented it on WSU’s website too, which is neat.
