André Staltz has turned a lot of heads with his provocative post, “The Web Began Dying in 2014.” He notes that Google and Facebook have direct influence over more than 70% of internet traffic. This is particularly concerning because — unlike a few years ago — the press “depends on Google and Facebook to stay in business.”
It’s certainly an article I would encourage anyone who’s concerned about the future of the Internet, particularly it’s freedoms that many today likely take for granted.
