CodeInWP did an analysis of over one hundred WordPress theme shops and ranked them, based on their Alexa positions. Alexa isn’t the best source for true marketplace benchmarks (Syed Balkhi shared why a couple years ago), but it is at least within the same genre, and one of the better open comparisons you can find.
I always liked these when Devin Price did them on WP Theming, and I always see theme shops I’d never heard of before. It truly is an ecosystem a mile wide and an inch deep.
