First off, I’ve never made an investment into an open source company. And secondly, even if I had, I have no idea what a “good investment” looks like. I don’t think anybody does, ever.

But I am a former investor who’s now wading into open source land, and it wasn’t easy to figure out, so I figured I’d share my humble process.
