If you’re a front-end specialist, you might appreciate one of several articles I’ve enjoyed recently:
- Andrew Coyle covers common mistakes when one is building usable forms and also has a nice post on designing better input fields.
- Mason Gentry at Smashing Magazine also has a good article for designers on common mistakes and how not to get frustrated dealing with them.
- If you use grids in your designs and development, then you might have heard about the 8-point grid system. Elliot Dahl shares why you should consider such a system. I’m not a strict-grid type of person, but this applies to much more than horizontal grids, and I think is more about general symmetry concepts in web design.
