Primary Role & Responsibilities

  • Create new blog content on a regular basis and nurture existing content to build trust with our audience, improve our organic reach, and grow acquisition/engagement.
  • Help develop a focused SEO & content marketing strategy to ensure that all website content is optimized for search, user experience, acquisition and conversion.
  • Measure and report on the performance of all website content.
  • Research and learn our audience and the language they use, in part by pitching in to answer sales inquiries through email.

  • Are willing to hop into and help answer sales inquiries & refund requests from time to time (always through email).
  • Are able to learn software quickly.
  • Know when something is over your head and aren’t afraid to ask for help!
  • Enjoy collaboration with other people of different backgrounds and skills.
  • Enjoy engaging with coworkers of varying disciplines to resolve issues and create new things.

Must Haves

  • 3+ years experience with professional copywriting and editing focused on connecting with people to help them find, understand, and implement solutions.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices, esp. keyword/phrase research and how to optimize content for performance on SERPs to targeted audiences at different stages of the buyer’s journey.
  • Familiarity with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Moz, Keywords Everywhere, and/or others.
  • Familiarity with analytics and reporting, esp. with Google Suite tools (Tag Manager, Analytics, Sheets, etc).
  • Excellent written English communications skills and the ability to differentiate common technical & promotional writing styles from writing that identifies user needs and guides them to solutions.


Nice to Haves

  • Basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, and general design.
  • Familiarity with WordPress and how it works
  • Familiarity with Ninja Forms & other WordPress form builders.
  • Customer service/support experience.
  • Comfort with remote work culture and methods of asynchronous communication.
  • Know how to calculate the average airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow…

Location & Schedule

This is a remote position – our team is spread around the globe! Our home base is in Tennessee, USA, so company operating hours are 8am – 4pm ET (UTC -5). While full coverage is not a requirement, you must be available for occasional, infrequent (video conference) meetings either at the beginning or ending of our operating business hours.
