Scared of WordPress core Trac? Try bug gardening.

Helen Hou-Sandí has some advice for those of you that might be afraid of WordPress core’s development processes. You could get involved with bug gardening, which essentially allows you to set milestones and make sure bugs aren’t getting left behind and ignored. Trac can be a firehose, and maintainers of the system to help legitimize bugs and assign them appropriately can be very valuable for an open source project.
