Mark Jaquith shares a nice new feature of WordPress 3.6 with his latest blog post: a shortcode attribute filter. So, if the person who registers the shortcode adds this third parameter, it makes it possible to extend the existing attributes of a shortcode, making them much more flexible. I hope plugin and theme authors adopt this one immediately.
