My observations lead me to agree with Carl Hancock in Post Status Slack. Some people in the photography community are unsettled because Unsplash was popular for not being associated with Getty, and others don’t like Unsplash giving away photos for free.
I also generally like this take from Mike Demo. In any case, it will be interesting to see how Unsplash moves forward from here.
