Scott Bolinger announced AppPresser 2, a new major version of the popular WordPress to mobile app bridge. AppPresser seems to be doing quite well and the team has iterated the plugin a good bit.
One of the most requested features was an offline mode, which is available in the new version, with limited feature support. Unfortunately, it seems any offline content has to be fully static (and doesn’t seem to have any periodic sync style feature that would, say, download posts when online for offline viewing), but it’s still a great step.
The new AppPresser release also includes a new theme, performance improvements, and improvements to push notifications. For many apps, AppPresser is probably a good option, and at a fraction of the cost of full iOS (not to mention Android) custom development.
