WordCamp Europe
WordCamp Europe is fast approaching. I’ve see Twitter/X handles start to include the conference hashtag, and people posting in different social and Slack channels asking who will be attending. The side event invites have started to go out. Plans are being set in place.
I’ll be there with StellarWP as a sponsor, and with Post Status as a media sponsor. I’m looking forward to creating new connections and deepening existing ones.
Traveling by yourself is a feat, but even moreso if you’re bringing a team. I’ve often reminded WordCamps that I mentor that the cost of sponsorship is far more than just the amount paid to the WordCamp: it includes airfare, swag, hotels, meals, and ground transportation, too.
Even if you’re not sponsoring, the planning, coordination, and yes, budget, that is required to bring a team is a lot.
But make no mistake: Taking your team to a WordCamp — or any conference, for that matter — is a challenge that requires meticulous planning and budgeting.

I still say that the benefits are amazing, but without (usually) a direct ROI from attending and sponsoring, they’re often difficult to measure.
Will you be there? Are you bringing a team? Reach out! I’d love to meet you there.
