The number one point of concern since yesterday’s release of WordPress 3.7 is about auto-updates and the proper way to disable them or enable them for non-default situations. Andrew Nacin gives a clear pathway for doing so, with all the reasoning behind it. He also talks about the various emails WordPress sends, and how to interface with those as well. tl;dr: don’t disable auto-updates unless you know what you’re doing. Also interesting will be to see how auto-update capabilities will affect minor versions and what goes in them, as he notes they will probably occur more frequently now that it’s less painful to update.
