GoDaddy has been inserting JavaScript into some websites for the purpose of “collecting metrics to improve performance.” 😱
Someone reverse engineered the script — an impressive feat worth reading about just for how that was done — and it turns out the script works as advertised: “it tracks the user on the site, and it sends performance data.” GoDaddy might be removing the script, but it’s not clear if that’s going to be a permanent removal.
