Jens Oliver Meiert has crunched some numbers, and according to his research there is 70% repetition of CSS styles. This is based on a sampling of 200 sites from The Moz Top 500 plus a few others. Since developers strive to avoid repeating themselves while balancing maintainability and readability, these results are troubling.
