​Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer/Engineer with 4+ years of experience managing large-scale WordPress applications. The ideal candidate should offer advanced knowledge of WordPress development, including experience with custom themes, plugins, and block development (Gutenberg). You will work closely with cross-functional teams and be responsible for scaling, optimizing, and enhancing enterprise-level WordPress websites, while leveraging modern development tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute into the development and maintenance of a complex portfolio of large-scale WordPress applications and websites.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to create custom WordPress themes and plugins both from scratch, and also using community / repo starters.
• Work on custom Gutenberg block development using React.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs into WordPress applications.
• Optimize website performance, including troubleshooting issues related to scaling and load balancing.
• Manage version control with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI for streamlined deployments.
• Collaborate on code reviews, best practices, and workflow improvements to ensure high-quality code.
• Manage development workflows with IDEs such as VS Code or PHPStorm, ensuring a seamless and productive development experience.
• Keep focus on WordPress performance, security, and scalability.
• Contribute to ongoing development, documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Ensure sites are optimized for SEO, accessibility, and performance.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in WordPress development, including advanced custom theme and plugin development.
• Proficient with Gutenberg block development using React and familiarity with WordPress REST API.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD processes, especially with CircleCI, and experience working with GitHub for version control.
• Experience managing large-scale WordPress websites, with an emphasis on performance and scaling.
• Proficiency with PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL databases.
• Experience with IDEs such as VS Code or PHPStorm (preferred).
• Familiarity with WordPress VIP hosting platform and enterprise-level hosting solutions would make you stand out greatly.
• Experience with performance optimization tools such as caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis, Varnish) and CDNs (e.g., Cloudflare).
• Solid understanding of WordPress security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects.

• Experience working with WordPress VIP hosting platform.
• Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with tools like Composer, WP-CLI, and Docker.
• Background in SEO best practices for WordPress websites.
