Joost de Valk has written an “After WCUS WordPress & Gutenberg FAQ” addressing some questions posed to him and the Yoast team at WordCamp US. In short, he is on board with Gutenberg but “annoyed with the communication failure around the release.”
He says that although you might not have the best experience with Yoast and Gutenberg today, the Yoast support team is “reasonably fine” after the WordPress 5.0 launch, and “you’re missing out on lots and lots of cool stuff” if you stick with the Classic Editor.
