A web designer since the mid-1990s (#RIP Netscape), Eric has worked on everything from tiny, hand-coded static sites to enterprise-level WordPress installs. He also does quite a bit of writing for Speckyboy Design Magazine. Topics include WordPress (of course), freelancing and deep dives into the web design industry. Find him over at karks.com.
What do you enjoy most about working in WordPress?
I love the flexibility that WordPress provides. Virtually any sort of look and functionality is possible β and with plenty of different pathways for achieving it. In addition, I have met so many kind, helpful people in the community.
What do you love most about your Post Status membership?
Post Status is a great place to connect with others who work with WordPress. Whether you want to talk about code, product marketing or the latest #WPDrama, there’s always something interesting going on.
What business/web/WordPress advice do you have for others in our industry?
Take time to discover your niche. It’s not always readily apparent. For example, it took me over a decade to find WordPress. Now, much of what I do revolves around it.
We’re happy to have Eric as a Post Status member!
