Member Spotlight: Howard Spaeth

Howard Spaeth is a WordPress consultant and has been for the past 8 years. He currently manages around 50 sites a month and hosts a total of 90. Howard also works with several agencies as their outsourced WordPress Developer. In addition to his WordPress work, Howard is also a super amateur photographer and enjoys it as a hobby!

What do you enjoy most about working in WordPress?

I love how versatile it is. There is always a way to do something, you just have to figure out how. I also like how the community is so great and willing to help each other out. When I first started using WordPress, it was definitely a learning curve but now I am able to do things with my eyes closed! I am also able to usually pinpoint the issue if something is broken, pretty quickly!

What do you love most about your Post Status membership?

I love how everyone is so willing to help out when there is an issue. The fact that there are different channels and often many conversations going on at once, it’s incredibly helpful. I also love the fact that A LOT of vendors are in as well so if there is an issue, we can usually get it figured out pretty quickly. The Post Status membership has definitely helped me accomplish some things that I was not able to before.

What business/web/WordPress advice do you have for others in our industry?

Don’t feel like you cannot ask questions. I definitely struggled when I first started out and was asking questions left and right. Join different groups around you, because you never know who you will meet and be able to help or vice versa! The WordPress Community is strong and I truly believe that the more people are willing to help, the more people will want to get involved.
