What do you enjoy most about working in WordPress?
What I enjoy most about working in WordPress is its high level of customization and the fact that it has an ambitious technology roadmap. WordPress provides a solid base for developing solutions because of its flexibility and open-source nature. Additionally, even after two decades and powering 40% of the internet, WordPress continues to evolve thanks to the active and dedicated core community. As a relatively new convert to WordPress, I continue to be amazed about what I can do in the platform.
What do you love most about your Post Status membership?
Everyone says this, but its undeniably the people. The Slack channel is the first place I go if I want to connect with someone in WordPress. Moreover, the community wants to engage and collaborate, not just about WordPress – although that’s certainly the focus – but about technology and business in general. It’s hard to imagine something going on in WordPress that you can’t find out about on Post Status.
What business/web/WordPress advice do you have for others in our industry?
For business, focus on delivering value and building relationships. Regardless of your specific goals, focusing on these two factors will go a long way towards achieving them.
For WordPress, just dive in and create new things. It doesn’t have to be code. The community is incredibly welcoming and supportive of all endeavors, so there’s no need to hold back.
