I haven’t listened to this episode yet but noticed above that you mention Windows Live Writer (btw you call it Life Writer instead of Live Writer in the blog post). As an FYI Live Writer was deprecated by Microsoft but they made the source available and a pretty good community of folks took it on and are maintaining it as an open source project called Open Live Writer: http://openlivewriter.org/
It’s still a great product so well worth a look.
