On the heels of Tachyon just over a month ago, Human Made has released another interesting tool to the public. It’s called Cavalcade, and it’s a horizontally-scalable WordPress jobs processing solution. It was built to address the limitations of wp-cron. Cavalcade has been running in production for a number of years at Human Made.
How it works: Cavalcade plugs into the existing wp-cron APIs, so your codebase can continue using the regular wp-cron functions, and developers don’t need to learn new APIs. It can be enabled just for production too, reducing local setup requirements.
