Justin Tadlock has another nice tutorial out where he guides you in the relatively simple function that adds a metabox to a post screen to be able to assign a post parent from another post type. This is highly useful in a number of scenarios, and one where a lot of us are probably improperly using taxonomies when the relationship should be more 1:1 versus 1:many like a taxonomy usually is.
