Performance management and tooling
I ran across two good resources for performance today, thanks to Chris Coyier, who has been on a performance tear of late.
Perf-tooling.today is a website with all sorts of performance resources linked. Seriously, there are a ton of them. It’s a good site to have in your arsenal.
And Chris posted his own post on strategies for performance management, that I found more workflow oriented and simpler to actually follow. I especially like his concept for performance budgets (and 600kb page weight is not easy). He just gives a very human methodology for prioritizing performance, which was nice.
