π We’re ringing our own acquisition bell again! π
Post Status has acquired WP Speakers!
Today, WP Speakers became an offering of Post Status as Joost and I have agreed to move the site from my individual ownership to the Post Status non-profit.
“WP Speakers is one of the many things that Michelle has been doing over the last years that benefit the community. We were talking about and to me it made so much sense to add that to the Post Status “family”, especially as we’re starting to look at how we can support both WordCamps and independent WordPress events more with our network. Which is why we decided to acquire it and make it part of Michelle’s job at Post Status to manage it,” says Joost de Valk.”For now, this doesn’t change much at all, maybe than some links back and forth. Just one more resource for the community that we can make sustainable.”
As for me, I’m thrilled! I launched WP Speakers a few years ago, and it now boasts over 500 speaker profiles for organizers and podcasters to search for their events and projects. With it coming under the Post Status brand, I will still get to manage “my baby” while turning over all the development side of things to Joost and his team. This tool for the community is a perfect fit for Post Status.

Congratulations Michelle!
Thank you!
