His career started in a variety of companies, which allowed him to work with several large businesses around the globe.
Joost founded CSS3.info in 2006, which quickly became the biggest CSS3 resource on the web. He then sold it in 2009. In 2010 he built an app named Quix. This app was featured in quite a few online publications such as Mashable, Lifehacker and ReadWriteWeb.
2010 was a busy year for Joost, as he then also founded Yoast. Since then, Yoast has grown from a solo performance to a company with 16 employees in The Netherlands and 4 support engineers abroad.
