Speaking of analyzing websites, Datanyze recently released some interesting facts on data collected from 45 million websites and mobile apps. A fact you find most interesting perhaps: “Only 22% of YC [Y Combinator] sites use a third party CMS. Of those, 83% use WordPress.”
Compared to the broader web, that’s about half as many websites using CMSs, but a stronger showing for WordPress amongst those that do. I would presume the 22% number is so low because they are (likely) not counting flat file static site generators as a CMS, making today’s public post more relevant.
