There is now a dedicated post on Make WordPress written by Mel Choyce about Gutenberg Phase 2, which shows off some screenshots and provides additional details from Matt’s State of the Word on Saturday. Gutenberg Phase 2 will be outside post_content, it will upgrade themes, widgets, and menus, and it will focus on customization. The “early version of phase 2” will be in the plugin.
