Jason Bobich has written a very nice article for wpTuts+ about various new functions and post format changes included in WordPress 3.6 betas. While the post format UI is on the hot seat for 3.6 and may or may not ship, I assume this functionality will likely stay in 3.6 even without the UI. But either way, these new features would almost certainly be in by 3.7 if the post format UI gets delayed for 3.6. I was just figuring out this new functionality myself, and Jason’s post would’ve been awesome a few days ago! Definitely give it a read when you dive into 3.6’s post format changes.
