WordPress.com continues to add features, recently adding a free stock photo library via with Pexels and “other diversity-focused image-library partners”. According to Anne McCarthy, stock-image libraries have historically struggled to represent all experiences. With these new effects using diversity-focused libraries, this is a potential solution to help avoid generic stock images that often perpetuate stereotypes.
