Joost de Valk announced that his insanely popular WordPress SEO plugin is soon going to have commercial support options. He’s going to charge $89 / year for a single site, or $349 / year for unlimited sites for support. I’ve never needed support for his plugin, but I know the .org forums are full of posts about it. Hopefully this will be a scalable option for those people to get help. He also teases in the post that the commercial plugin will have, “some other functionality that’s not included in the SEO plugin.” This, of course, is the most interesting aspect of his announcement. I use his plugin on every site, so I’m curious to see what I’d gain from the commercial version.
