10up recently posted the results of usability tests they performed for Gutenberg (version 2.9.2). The tests, which were pretty extensive, involved professional writers writing a simple story. Their actions and comments during the process were monitored.
The test results cover positive and negative feedback. Some suggestions for improvement concentrate on relieving common pain points: expose common tasks better, create stronger visual cues, and give additional focus to the authoring experience.
