Post Status has outlined its strategic policy plan for 2025-2027. The plan aims to support innovation and foster collaboration within the global open-source software community, with a particular emphasis on WordPress.
The foundation actively manages a vibrant community through platforms like Slack, podcasts, newsletters, and dedicated websites, such as poststatus.com and wpspeakers.com. Key objectives include maintaining and slightly increasing the community’s size and engagement levels, doubling website traffic within three years, and enhancing support for both online and offline educational events.
Financially, Post Status relies on sponsorships, memberships, and donations, targeting an annual income of €50,000 to €60,000. Efforts are focused on making membership more accessible, aiming to reduce fees while boosting community investments. Expenses primarily cover community platforms, events, educational resources, and essential administrative functions.
The foundation maintains prudent financial practices, building a small reserve to ensure continuity and stability. Regular evaluations, transparent stakeholder communications, and the publication of annual financial reports underline its commitment to accountability and openness.
Post Status is committed to nurturing an inclusive, innovative community that enhances the web’s accessibility and openness for all.
