WP Remote, the update and backup solution from Human Made, has announced their first commercial plan for their popular product. You can now pay $5 per month per site to get automated backups stored remotely. This sets them up as pretty direct competition to VaultPress, in my view. But the feature differences seem relatively clear. VaultPress has automated restores, which I don’t think WP Remote has yet. And WP Remote has advanced core, plugin and theme update monitoring built into their free version. It’s good to see competition in this important space.
