Back in June Let’s Encrypt passed 2.8 million unexpired certificates. Recently they passed 10 million and according to their stats page experienced a massive spike recently.
Also interesting to note that cPanel now has an AutoSSL feature that triggers the automatic request and installation of Domain Validated Comodo-signed SSLs.
