CodePen Projects is the most interesting web application I’ve seen in a long time. They’ve launched what is essentially a hosted IDE, but also includes domain mapping so you can create the whole site right there on CodePen.
As someone interested in making some micro-sites, but without the desire to deal with all the build tool messes and non-WP deployment issues, I’m super pumped about this feature for CodePen — especially because I can still grab the data I’ll use for these micro-sites from my existing WordPress installs.
I really like CodePen Radio, and if you want the behind the scenes of building a big feature for a SaaS like this, Chris Coyier, Rachel Smith, and others who were involved, promised they’ll be talking about this effort soon.
