DreamHost has announced a “highly optimized, extremely reliable managed WordPress service” using managed VPS instances on “tuned-for-WordPress” servers. They're also including automatic updates and some other WordPress specific features. It seems they are pretty clearly going after the growing market that so far has flocked to the likes of WP Engine, Pagely, and ZippyKid. Their introductory price is $24.95 per month.
