John O’Nolan’s Ghost Kickstarter has reached (more than) full funding in just under twelve hours. I just posted about Ghost this morning, and while I’m impressed it funded so damn quick, I’m not at all surprised by the interest. It’s interesting to note that almost all of the 700+ backers so far are backing at relatively low dollar values. It’s equally interesting that the two £5,000 partners are WooThemes and Envato.
I’m extremely excited to see the conversation of a simpler publishing format move forward. I think this is further evidence of the challenge WordPress has ahead. If 3.6 is the content release, I personally expect 3.7 to be the interface release. Congratulations to John on an incredible day for his project.
