GoDaddy has announced a new customized experience for ones (especially non-developers) to get a WordPress site. The experience includes a startup wizard with the ability to choose a theme as part of a four step process. They are also including royalty-free images, “starter” content, and an SEO wizard that (from what I can tell) build the needed tag information after the user answers some questions.
GoDaddy is clearly trying to improve the onboarding process and taking a shot at companies like Wix and SquareSpace which offer “start from scratch and have a site in minutes” type of experience.
