In case you haven’t heard, it was recently reported and confirmed by Dropbox that the service was hacked back in 2012. Troy Hunt gives us a closer look at the hack, and from that post I learned about Have I been pwned, where you can check your email address to see if it’s been exposed; mine was exposed in four of the seven biggest hacks on record, so I finally did some much needed auditing on my oldest and most vulnerable passwords. Thanks to 1Password, it was pretty easy to analyze and fix up problem areas, many of which I long ago forgot about, but don’t want to leave to chance.
