John Jacoby has provided an update on bbPress 2.6. Two features — bbPress as Post Comments and Forums as Taxonomies — are being bumped to 2.7 so that 2.6 won’t be held back. Not exactly the best news, but there’s still been goodĀ progress for bbPress. Updates don’t come around as often as updates on WordPress coreĀ and bbPress has a small but loyal following of developers.
Speaking of John, he andĀ other BuddyPress core contributorsĀ have decided to follow in the footsteps of WordPress core and will be releasing a new lead for each major version for BuddyPress.
In the meantime, itĀ looks like we can except BuddyPress 2.6 sometime in June with some great enhancements.
