He spent more than a decade in the eCommerce scene and built one of the most popular Shopify marketing products – SMSBump, which got acquired by Yotpo. He now has transitioned to the web performance world and WordPress, determined to apply all the lessons learned from working with brands like Facebook, MasterCard, Amazon Pay, Google, Square, and many more.
What do you enjoy most about working in WordPress?
What I enjoy most is making an impact – WordPress has a 43% market share of the Internet, so helping someone get started with their very first thing or making a difference for a mom and pop’s store, or helping an established business to excel and an enterprise stand out and make a difference- that is huge.
What do you love most about your Post Status membership?
Being able to be part of the community of the brightest and most successful folks in the WordPress space. Everyone is eager to help one another and this is so awesome. It’s amazing that there are plenty of Post Status events around the official WordPress events. I definitely recommend it to everyone.
What business/web/WordPress advice do you have for others in our industry?
“Who if not me, when if not now.” Get obsessed with the product you are building, and don’t be afraid you haven’t figured out everything. Get around smarter people, listen for feedback carefully and ship fast. Learn from your mistakes, be open about it and generous with all your customers. They have chosen your solution among 60,000 other plugins so they are the special ones.
