Rob Cairns has over 30 years of experience with technology. He designed his first WordPress website to share photos with family. In 2009 he started his agency, Stunning Digital Marketing, to design WordPress websites. He now specializes in WordPress design and development, WordPress security, and email marketing. Rob is the creator and host of The SDM Show Podcast. In his spare time he is an avid reader, learner, and a sports fan.
What do you enjoy most about working in WordPress?
The community! It’s amazing.
I also love the flexibility of WordPress. Because it is open source it allows you to do what you want with WordPress, including adding code, plugins , themes and more.
What do you love most about your Post Status membership?
The energy that comes from the people in Post Status, and the support that comes from Post Status is a big deal for me working from home. Coming out of the pandemic, the Post Status team has allowed me to connect with colleagues from around the world. These people are amazing! I have collaborated with many people in the Post Status community and have had several on my podcast. These relationships have developed in the community over time as we support each other.
What business/web/WordPress advice do you have for others in our industry?
Several —
1. Get involved in the community;
2. Be honest with your clients; and
3. Do not sell yourself short — you can do amazing things.
